Our favourite cycling areas

Shimanami Kaido – One of the most famous cycling routes in Japan, this route connects the islands of Honshu and Shikoku via a series of bridges with stunning views over the Seto Inland Sea. It’s great for both road and gravel cycling.
Hokkaido – The northernmost island of Japan is known for its rolling hills, beautiful lakes, and vast open spaces, perfect for gravel cycling or leisurely road rides in summer.
Kyoto & Nara – Explore ancient temples, traditional villages, and historic gardens in the cultural heart of Japan. There are also plenty of gravel paths through natural parks.
Mount Fuji & Hakone – Mount Fuji is a challenging but iconic climb, while Hakone offers scenic cycling routes with views of Fuji and hot spring towns.
Kii Peninsula – Known for hilly terrain, beautiful coastal roads, and ancient pilgrimage routes, this region offers cycling with both scenic views and historical significance.
